Sophia Butterfly Dream Reflection

Zhuangzi, the great Taoist philosopher, once dreamed he was a butterfly — flitting about with no awareness of being a man. On waking, he couldn't say whether he was a man who had dreamed of being a butterfly, or a butterfly now dreaming he was a man. The parable isn't a trick question; it's an invitation to notice how much of your certainty about who you are is just the dream you happen to be having right now. Writing down what feels solid, and what doesn't, is a private way to test it.

Yes. Everything you write is stored only in your browser (IndexedDB, via PGlite) and is never sent to a server. Sophia does send a few content-free usage signals so we can see what to fix; the privacy page lists exactly what.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts or logins. Open Sophia and start writing.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once it has loaded, Sophia works offline as a Progressive Web App, including in airplane mode.
